Refund Policy
The International Journal of Advanced Sciences and Computing (IJASC) is dedicated to maintaining transparency, fairness, and ethical practices in all financial transactions related to publication. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds may be considered for article processing charges (APCs) or other service-related payments.
General Policy
Article Processing Charges (APCs) and other related fees paid to IJASC are primarily used to cover costs associated with editorial management, peer review, digital publishing, archiving, DOI registration, and online hosting.
Since these costs are incurred during the publication process, refunds are generally not possible once a manuscript has entered peer review or production.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds will only be considered under the following specific circumstances:
a. Duplicate Payment
If an author makes an accidental duplicate payment for the same article, IJASC will issue a 100% refund of the additional payment after verifying the transaction details.
b. Payment Error
In the case of a technical or processing error during payment (such as being charged incorrectly), a full or partial refund will be processed upon confirmation from the payment gateway or financial institution.
c. Withdrawal Before Processing
If a manuscript is withdrawn before the peer review process begins, authors may be eligible for a 50% refund, depending on the stage of editorial handling.
However, once the manuscript enters peer review or production, no refund will be issued.
d. Journal Error
In rare cases where IJASC fails to publish an accepted and paid article due to technical or editorial oversight, the author may be entitled to a full refund or free publication in the next issue.
Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:
-
The manuscript has completed peer review or been accepted for publication.
-
The author withdraws the paper after acceptance for personal or institutional reasons.
-
The article has already been published online with a DOI assigned.
-
The rejection of a manuscript after peer review (since editorial and review costs are already incurred).
-
Payments made for optional services such as fast-track review, printed copies, or additional certificates.
